Introduction to the Dashboards Follow
This article aims to give an overview and introduction of the EnOcean starter kit demo dashboards. Each of the demo dashboards has been designed to illustrate some of the possible functionality of MobiusFlow.
To access your dashboard open a web browser (we recommend Chrome) and navigate to the link you have been provided. This link will typically be the MobiusFlow gateway URL followed by /dashboard/ui
e.g. https://flying-horse-20.mobiusflow.io/dashboard/ui
Overview
These dashboards aim to show some of the possible applications you can achieve with MobiusFlow and a few EnOcean wireless sensors.
Navigate between the dashboards by clicking on a category on the left.
Simulated Data
Built into the demo dashboards is the ability to use simulated data instead of the live data from the physical sensors.
Need for Simulated Data
In some scenarios presented in the demo dashboards, it will not always be convenient to use live data directly from the multi-sensor and switch. This is because some scenarios require extreme input data to fully evaluate their functionality. An example of this is that temperatures in excess of 35°C are required in the 'Server Room Monitoring' scenario to trigger an overheating alert. Such temperatures would be inconvenient to create in a typical room. As such, built into the demo dashboards is the option to use simulated data instead of real data.
Controlling Simulated Data
Enabling or disabling the simulated data can be performed in the settings group shown below. In this screenshot, the use of simulated data is enabled.
In addition to enabling or disabling simulated data, the 'Simulated Data Rate' can be set within the settings group. This option allows the data send rate of the simulated devices to be controlled using the slider. In the screenshot above, 2000 milliseconds has been selected meaning the sensors will wait 2000 milliseconds between each send. The slider can vary the data rate between 500 milliseconds and 15 seconds.
