Toilet Cleaning Dashboard Follow
This article acts as a walkthrough for the EnOcean demo Toilet Cleaning dashboard. Included is an explanation of the scenario and how to use the provided demo sensors in the context of this dashboard.
Scenario Overview
This scenario is used to show a possible use case for MobiusFlow in the context of Toilet Cleaning or any other situation related to monitoring the motion of a window, door, or any other physical system.
In this scenario, contact sensors are used to monitor the number of times a toilet door is opened and closed. A single sensor is placed on the doors of the male and female toilets on the ground and first floors as well as the disabled toilets. The dashboard pulls all the sensor data into this single location. The dashboard will notify the user if the toilet has been used beyond a set number of times. If this is the case, this means the toilet requires cleaning, and the appropriate action is taken.
In a real-world situation, a dedicated contact sensor would be used such as the EnOcean Magnetic Contact Sensor which can be purchased off the iaconnects website here.
Functionality
On navigating to the Toilet Cleaning dashboard the following pane is presented. Ensure the 'clean toilets' button is clicked on all toilets windows to allow the dashboard to be reset.
As can be seen in the screenshot above, the cleaned dashboard will show no usage of any of the toilets.
Triggering Toilets Usage
The 4 buttons of the provided demo switch as well as the magnetic contact on the provided demo multi-sensor are used to simulate the 5 door contacts being made. The table below shows the correspondence.
Input | Toilet |
Multi-sensor magnetic contact | Male Ground Floor |
Wireless Switch Button A0 | Female Ground Floor |
Wireless Switch Button AI | Male First Floor |
Wireless Switch Button B0 | Female First Floor |
Wireless Switch Button BI | Disabled |
On triggering either the magnetic contact or by pushing the switch buttons, the corresponding toilet should register the count accordingly. This can be seen below.
Increasing any of the counts beyond the quantity of 10 should notify the user that the toilet requires cleaning and an email has been sent to the facilities management team notifying them of this. This is shown for the ground floor male toilets in the screenshot below.
Setting up instant email alerts, such as the one above, relating to any situation or combination of situations can be performed easily and simply within MobiusFlow.
