Sensor Gateway Service Settings Follow
The Sensor Gateway service provides an interface to devices running the cutdown Mobius Sensor Protocol. These devices include intelligent sensors such as the iaconnects Air Quality Monitor (AQM) and the iaconnects wireless sensor connectors such as the EnOcean Connector (EXT002).
Each intelligent sensor or connector needs to be authorised to send and receive data from a MobiusFlow instance, and once connected the Sensor Gateway service will create a virtual service representing the connector or intelligent sensor.
Instances
More than one instance of this service is allowed
Service settings
Common settings
Service ID
The service ID (SID) of this Mobius service. This entry is populated automatically when the service is add to the configuration and should not be modified by the user.
Host URI
The host URI (including its port) tells the service which Mobius hub to connect to. This entry is populated automatically when the service is add to the configuration and should not be modified by the user. The default is the local device.
An advanced user can use these settings if required but care must be taken to ensure that the connection is secure.
Enabled
If checked this service is enabled and may be started either manually or automatically on boot. The default is checked.
Run At Start
If checked this service will start running automatically when the device boots up. For most services this should be checked. The default is checked.
Raw JSON
All of the settings below the raw JSON switch are service dependent. They are stored on the device in the JSON format but for ease of use, most services provide a simple custom user interface for configuring the required custom settings. Advanced users may choose to directly edit the JSON. Setting the raw JSON switch to true will hide the custom user interface and show the settings in JSON format. Setting the switch back to false will once again show the custom user interface.
Custom settings
Gateway Port
The TCP/IP port that the Sensor Gateway will listen on for incoming connections from intelligent sensors and connectors. You must make sure that this port is open on the firewall for incoming connections.
For both physical and virtual (cloud) gateways you can use 30814 as by default this port is open for the Sensor Gateway service.
Authorised Sensors
The Authorised Sensors section is where you add any intelligent sensors or connectors that you want to connect to this gateway. You must add an entry for each device you want to authorise.
Click on the light blue + button to add a new entry.
Click on a red X button to remove an entry.
You can use the up and down arrows to re-order the entries.
Type
Select the intelligent sensor or connector type from the drop down list. This should match the type of device you are connecting.
SID
Enter a Mobius service ID (SID) for the virtual service that is created when this device connects. In order to prevent clashes with configured services we recommend that you start at SID F01.
As with all Mobius service IDs, this is a three digit hex number, should be entered in uppercase, and must be unique for this gateway.
PSK
In order to ensure the integrity of the messages passed between this Mobius hub and the device all messages are signed with a pre-shared key or password. You can enter any text string here but try to make it difficult to guess!
To establish a connection, the same PSK must be entered into the configuration on the intelligent sensor or connector.
Diagnostics
View Wireless Connector Status
When the Sensor gateway service is running any connectors that are active will be shown in the list of running services.
clicking on View Objects for the connector will then make it possible to expand the connector status object to view information about the network settings of the connector, amongst other useful info.
